Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced it has been selected by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide recovery services under the Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract V (PA-TAC V) in a joint venture with AECOM, the managing partner. PA-TAC V supports FEMA’s distribution of public assistance following presidentially declared disasters or emergencies, aligning contractors with one of four geographical zones (Atlantic, East, Central, and West) to provide more effective resource support.
The firms were awarded FEMA’s Atlantic Zone, which includes FEMA Regions I and II, eight northeastern states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a one-year base period with four one-year option periods and is valued at up to $557.8 million; the contract includes a broad range of professional services, including site inspection, field technical support, cost estimation, environmental and historic preservation, and program delivery support.
“Dewberry has worked with FEMA for more than 45 years in locations across the United States,” says Dewberry Chief Executive Officer Don Stone, PE. “Our team is prepared to continue supporting FEMA in the Atlantic Zone as it aids the communities that are impacted by major events.”
