Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineering Research and Development Center’s Construction Engineering Research Lab (CERL) in Champaign, Illinois, to provide engineering design services. The firm is one of four companies that will provide engineering services to CERL under a $10-million, five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.
As part of the contract, Dewberry will provide retro-commissioning,
building control systems, and cybersecurity support for the center, which supports
the development of standards, criteria, and execution of technologies for the
Department of Defense (DoD).
“CERL is the preeminent Army research and development laboratory
that focuses on improving the controls and operations of Army and DoD buildings
worldwide,” says Dewberry Vice President Marvin Griffin, PE. “Our team is
thrilled to support CERL’s mission in executing research of advanced building
technology and supporting Army installations.”
