Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that it has been selected by Tampa Bay Water to provide on-call engineering services for its system, which supplies water to Hillsborough County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, New Port Richey, St. Petersburg, and Tampa. Dewberry’s services will be provided primarily out of its Tampa, Florida, office.
Dewberry may provide project management, construction
management, civil, water resources, environmental, stormwater, water treatment
process, water quality analysis, hydraulic modeling, mechanical, geotechnical,
electrical, instrumentation and controls, permitting, structural, building
design, pipeline leak detection, condition assessment, surveying, value
engineering, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) services on
a task-order basis. Contract task assignments may include studies, analysis
reports, design plans and specifications, construction administration and
inspection, construction management, and design criteria professional services.

since its inception more than 20 years ago,” says Dewberry Project Manager Mike
Pekkala, PE. “Their critical water infrastructure system serves many densely
populated areas in the region, and I’m excited that we have the opportunity to
continue providing engineering services to this critical organization.”
The on-call contract is valued at $2 million and has a
duration of five years.
